Recitation of Mevlid
The tradition of reading the Qur’an, praying, and offering hospitality to guests after someone’s passing is an essential part of our culture, and it is a beautiful act that soothes the hearts of those left behind. Offering hospitality to guests is a beautiful gesture, just like reading the Qur’an and praying for the deceased. Let us not forget that such gatherings symbolize the collective power, that is, the ummah, bringing people together rather than just feeding them. Therefore, such gatherings, Qur’an recitations, prayers, and hospitality complete the gap left after the person’s passing.
For those who want to nourish both their souls and bodies and perform good deeds for their deceased loved ones, we offer our “hospitality” program. With your donation, you can offer hospitality to a total of 150 people. Many foods that are readily available to us are perhaps only available to our African brothers and sisters once a year, during holidays, if at all. Unfortunately, some cannot even access it. Let us revive our sense of ummah and keep this ancient tradition alive by offering hospitality together.
