In many parts of the world, there is a shortage of water due to drought, climate change, and other factors. Although technological possibilities in our age are very advanced, there are still millions of people who rely on a single drop of water. The need for water is highest in Africa, in particular. The real problem is access to clean water.

With the rapid population growth, this could become one of the biggest resource problems in the coming years and challenge us all. In countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, and Chad, people are not only struggling to survive, but they can also become seriously ill and even lose their lives due to the lack of access to clean water.

As Nuance Humanitarian e.V., we build wells in many countries in East and West Africa with the support of our donors who feel connected to us. Our goal is to facilitate access to water and prevent diseases caused by contaminated water. Another major advantage of well construction is the enormous time savings and relief for women who have to travel miles every day to fetch water. This allows them to spend more time with their families and, in particular, on their children’s education.
